FAILED BACK SYNDROME

Untitled-12.jpg

Sometimes referred to as failed back surgery syndrome, or FBSS, the term failed back syndrome is actually somewhat of a misnomer. Failed back syndrome refers to lingering or persistent pain following a back surgery that was intended to be rid of it — or at least significantly reduce it.

This pain may sometimes be so severe that the patient is unable to resume normal activities afterward. Further treatments are often required to address and minimize chronic pain that occurs following back surgeries.
